Do You Wish The Dentist Was More Convenient?
Do you find yourself postponing dental treatments due to time constraints? We know that many of our patients are busy, and it can be difficult to make the time to receive a recommended dental treatment. Unfortunately, dental decay will only continue to grow until you get treatment. We do our best to provide treatments that can be completed in a timely manner. One such treatment is same-day dental crowns. Read on to learn more about this treatment and how it is beneficial to you.
CEREC Same-Day Crowns
A tooth structure that is damaged beyond repair or worn down can be protected by a dental crown. A dental crown, also known as a cap, is a custom cover for your tooth that is made to fit over your existing tooth and colored to match your surrounding teeth. At other practices, a crown procedure is typically completed in more than one office visit. Goopy impressions are taken of your teeth and, after your first appointment, you are left with a temporary crown.
We know your time is valuable, so we offer CEREC same-day crowns. We are able to complete the entire treatment in one office visit, making goopy impressions and temporary crowns a thing of the past. This can also be beneficial if you experience a dental emergency such as a cracked tooth.
Who is a Candidate for a Same-Day Crown?
A dental crown can save your tooth. It is often one of the last resorts before a tooth extraction. This is one of the reasons we are passionate about receiving a recommended treatment in a timely manner. We may recommend a same-day crown to help situations including:
- Fixing a loose, or worn down tooth
- Holding together a cracked tooth
- Supporting a tooth with a large cavity
- Masking misshapen or discolored teeth
- Protecting a weak, decayed tooth
- Completing a dental implant
If you are interested to learn if same-day crowns will be used during your next visit or you would like more information about this treatment, be sure to contact our office located in Coppell, TX. We look forward to serving you and helping improve your oral health.
