What Invisalign Can Help With
Invisalign is a great choice for many adults and older teens dealing with mild to moderate alignment issues, including:
- Crowded or overlapping teeth
- Small gaps between teeth
- Overbite, underbite, or crossbite
- Teeth shifting after braces
Because Invisalign is so precise, it can address these concerns gently, effectively, and without metal appliances. For many of our patients, Invisalign is an excellent treatment option..
The Flexibility of Clear Aligners
Let’s be honest: one of the biggest perks of Invisalign is how well it works with your daily life. You can continue to eat all the foods you love, brush and floss as usual, and smile big for every photo op.
With Invisalign, you can:
- Enjoy food without restriction (just remove your trays first)
- Maintain your normal at-home oral hygiene routine
- Remove your aligner trays for special events, presentations, and sports
- Skip the discomfort and awkwardness of wires and brackets
You’ll need to wear your aligner trays for 22 hours a day to stay on track. Most of our patients find it easy to incorporate Invisalign into their daily routine.
A Custom Approach From the Start
If you’re interested in Invisalign, the first step is getting a digital scan of your teeth. These 3D impressions let us create a fully personalized plan for your treatment so that we can map out each tiny shift along the way.
From there, you’ll get a series of smooth, BPA-free aligner trays designed just for you. You’ll switch to a new set every 10 days, or as often as Dr. Peterson instructs you to. Because the aligners are clear, you’ll notice changes in your smile as your treatment progresses.
Your treatment time will depend on your needs and goals, with many patients completing treatment within 12-18 months. During that time, we’ll see you for periodic check-ins to make sure everything is going according to your treatment plan.
